About the position

QRIOS is currently recruiting this exciting role at Cytiva. As the Lead Software Engineer at Cytiva, your primary responsibility is to spearhead the design and development of Service Platforms & Products aimed at facilitating remote troubleshooting and diagnostics.

This role represents senior technical leadership within the Global Service R&D Organization, based in Uppsala, Sweden, and requires onsite presence. At Cytiva, our overarching vision is to propel the advancement of future therapeutics from their initial discovery phase all the way to delivery.

Responsibilities

In this position, you'll have the opportunity to:

• Collaborate with global teams on new product development initiatives, focusing on promoting Design for Service and establishing Serviceability standards.
• Implementing Predictive and condition-based maintenance strategies through digital connectivity, Data enablement, and IoTs
• Partner with global teams to define and standardize data collection, storage, and export procedures for machine data, ensuring controlled and secure practices
• Utilize digital technologies to enhance serviceability, remote diagnosis, and troubleshooting processes
• Lead strategic and tactical decision-making from a technological standpoint, including initiatives for software modernization
• Design and develop client-server software utilizing a range of technologies such as MVC, C++, C# .NET, WPF/WCF, RDBMS, and HTML
• Provide mentorship, training, and leadership to developers, aligning their efforts with project objectives and priorities
• Arrange and maintain development and deployment environments ifneeded with the Cytiva DevOps Engineer.

Your profile

The fundamental qualifications for this position comprise:

• A degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering (or a related field).
• Over 8 years of hands-on experience in commercial software development, particularly in C# / ASP . Net
• Demonstrated proficiency in digital technologies and their practical application within the service/Biotechnology sector.
• Proficiency in utilizing Web technologies such as TypeScript/JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, Node.js, or frameworks like Angular or React.
• Experience with Cloud back-end technologies such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
• Proficiency in developing and managing database applications using PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar platforms.
• A flexible problem-solving approach coupled with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Additionally, advantageous qualifications include:

• Knowledge of electromechanical design, lab-scale, and industrial hardware systems.
• Experience in Continuous Delivery (CD) practices.
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards and regulatory environments.
• Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Documentation Practices.
