We are recruiting a Principal engineer to PeptiSystem in Uppsala.

Description

As the Principal Systems Engineer you will be responsible for the overall system architecture, lead the design work and the creation of our technical roadmap for future product development. The job will involve working closely with other internal functions as well as our customers, for our customized products. Join us on the journey of transforming the way peptide and oligonucleotide therapeutics are synthesized today!

This position requires multidisciplinary engineering experience from flow calculations to integration of analytical equipment for process automation.

We are therefore looking for an innovative senior engineer, with previous experience of designing automatic process systems.

The role requires that you work both independently, with a strong self-drive, and as a strong team player with a positive, solution-oriented attitude.

Do you have solid experience of developing large scale process instruments perhaps from large-scale flowthrough column synthesis. Or from other process industries from where your expertise can be used in this field. Then this job is for you.

You enjoy working in a multi-cultural environment having contact points with everybody in the company. You have a deep interest in the technology, perhaps understanding of the chemistry.

Qualifications

• 10 years’ experience from complex instrument development. Automatic process systems.
• Master degree in an Engineering discipline.
• A good understanding of fluidic, hardware, software and automated peptide and/or oligonucleotide synthesis is very meritorious.
• Used to a quality-controlled environment. GMP, CE and various ISO standards.
• Experience from PLC Control systems
• Experience from flow calculations and analytical detection technologies
• Experience working with different types of software-controlled instruments.
• Experience in designing solutions for processing organic solvents is a benefit.
• A combination of knowledge and experience from both chemistry and physical engineering is a plus.
• Experience from writing technical requirements and documentation.
• Fluent in English, written and oral.
• Basic Swedish skills, written and oral.

PeptiSystems offers a new generation of instruments for solid-phase synthesis production of peptide and oligonucleotide therapeutics. Our instruments are used within the biopharmaceutical and biotech industry for process development and large-scale GMP and non-GMP manufacturing based on flowthrough column technology.

PeptiSystems office is in Uppsala. There is some possibility of remote work. Travel occasionally will be required. You will report to the CEO.
