You will take design lead and be responsible for the electrics in our projects and products regarding electrification in our Pilot Partner projects. It means close cross-functional collaboration with other areas such as mechanical design, production, workshop, testing, market and purchasing.
As an electrical designer at Pilot Partner, you need to analyse customer requests and break them down into actions. Usually, this means defining and reusing electric parts and cable harnesses from the existing Scania modular system and/or writing hardware specifications, designing new circuit diagrams, cable harnesses, cable routings, and mounting instructions. You’ll verify the design during test assembly together with production. Perform functionality and hardware test by yourself or with the support from our testing departments initiated by you.
You prefer to be a generalist rather than a specialist and enjoy having several ongoing tasks with short deadlines. You need to have high stress tolerance, high work capability and like to work at a fast pace.
You are sociable and a team player but also capable of working independently and taking the initiative. You’re not afraid to break new ground, making mistakes and learn from them. You can organize and plan both for your own and others’ deliveries. You are a team player with leadership skills.
Scania Pilot Partner is a dedicated function focused on accelerating the transition to e-mobility. We operate with an entrepreneurial “company mindset,” taking end-to-end responsibility for the e-mobility business, including proof-of-concept solutions where no mature alternatives exist.

At Scania Special Vehicle’s Truck Development, we are responsible for the design of the electrical HW and cable harnesses to meet our customer demands.
