About the position

We at Perido are now looking for a Product Engineer for our client. The company is a world-leading provider of transport solutions and is driving the transition to a sustainable transport system. You will be part of the project team at the Department of Production & Logistics, which is located at the office in Södertälje, with the opportunity to work remotely a couple of days a week. The in-house production projects aim to acquire, install and start up production of new generation batteries on site in Sweden and in Europe. The work is cross-functional and is conducted in close collaboration with purchasing, R&D departments and production partners. The work is carried out in close collaboration with production partners and various suppliers, and therefore foreign travel may occur.

Your daily tasks

The electrification trend in the automotive industry is moving fast and our client is looking for a dedicated product engineer to join the team, who can help them increase the production of electric vehicles in a sustainable way. An important component of the electric vehicle is the battery and you will be part of a project organization with a focus on developing the process for in-house manufacturing of batteries.

Examples of areas of responsibility

• Lead and participate in equipment sub-projects related to product development
• Work with requirement specification, analysis of layouts, concepts and other production-related material
• Participate in the purchase process to acquire new equipment
• Carry out analyses, risk assessments and other evaluations following our investment process
• Develop and implement plans with suppliers for equipment installations, acceptance testing, and others
• Follow-up of other requirements against suppliers

Your characteristics

To succeed in the role, we believe you have a college degree and a few years of experience in a similar field, and a passion for sustainability. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, Master of Science in Engineering or similar
• At least 2-3 years of experience in industrial engineering, projects or similar work experience
• Fluency in spoken and written English is mandatory due to the international nature of the project.

Contract type and hours

Full-time, consultant assignment 12 months. Start immediately.
