We are building a state-of-the-art Gigafactory that will be one of the largest cell production facilities in Europe. We are now looking for a buyer, you will be buying logistics solutions and packaging that enable us to create a state of the art Gigafactory. You will belong to our Supply Chain team, a pivotal function to the success of NOVO Energy, together we create the next-generation battery value chain!

Together, we have formed a joint venture, NOVO Energy, to power the next generation of pure electric Volvo and Polestar cars.

What you will do

You will drive setting up and buying transport and packaging solutions for NOVO. Since we are in the build-up phase, the initial stage will be focused on setting solutions together with future partners. Once we have designed our solutions; your responsibility will stepwise change to continually monitor, trim and challenge the solutions you have been part of creating.

Your responsibilities will includ e but not be limited to:

• Drive the design of transport and packaging solutions; moving our goods (inbound and special transports) from Asia/ Europe to Göteborg
• Keep up to speed on the technical and business development of transport and packaging industry
• Participate and drive the design of packaging solution; i.e. both transport packaging and load carrier in our supply chain
• Drive full purchasing process from A to Z in the segments of transport and packaging
• Full order responsibility for placed orders
• Once solutions bought and implemented; challenge and drive the improvements together with selected partners

Skills & Requirements

You are well organized with excellent communication skills, focused on delivering the best solutions possible to your stakeholders.

• Experience in planning and buying national and international shipping
• Experience from driving more complex sourcing initiatives in an industrial setting
• Good knowledge in handling of dangerous goods
• Interest/ experience in various packaging solutions in the industry
• A degree in Logistics/ Supply chain or related field
• 3 years of experience within purchasing/logistics, preferably from industrial projects setting
• Analytical and data driven - proficiency in Microsoft Office, experience in handling databases, TMS/ERPs, and data visualizations
• Ability to work with hands-on tasks and more strategic/ process design questions in parallel

Our state-of-the-art R&D facility will gather leading expertise from all over the world, to create the next generation battery cells.
