Are you a software developer who wants to build secure, large-scale device management services? Join the team at the heart of how millions of Axis devices connect to the cloud!

Your future team You'll join the team behind Device Management within Axis Cloud Connect (ACC) - a platform of strategic importance, used by the majority of Axis customers and partners worldwide. We own the full device lifecycle: onboarding, provisioning, authentication, configuration, maintenance, monitoring, and diagnostics for connected devices across surveillance systems globally.

We're a team of ~21 engineers with strong diversity and a genuinely collaborative spirit.

Your role As a Software Engineer, you'll work in an autonomous agile squad of 4-5 engineers, where you'll:

• Design and develop device onboarding and provisioning flows - spanning edge firmware and cloud services
• Build secure, MQTT-based communication between devices and the cloud
• Work primarily in C# and Go

• Hands-on - You take a practical, engineering-driven approach, own your tasks, and see them through from concept to working software.
• Curious about the big picture and the user - You want to understand how your piece fits into the wider system and how it plays out in real deployments for real users. You ask "why" before "how."
• A team player - You bring energy and drive, contribute generously, and stay humble and easy to work with.
• A natural connector - You reach out and build relationships beyond your immediate team, inside and outside Axis, and put in the work to make those connections count.

Preferred background & skills

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or equivalent
• An agile mindset with an understanding of DevOps
• Experience with AWS cloud development and Kubernetes
• Experience with embedded/edge systems or IoT device fleets at scale
• Solid grasp of network protocols and device communication - TCP/IP, DNS, TLS/mTLS, HTTP/HTTPS
• Bonus: exposure to device provisioning/bootstrapping protocols, PKI/certificate-based trust, or IoT connectivity standards like MQTT
