Your role

Due to increased customer demand, we need to strengthen our Safety, Reliability and Maintainability Department with a Systems Safety and Reliability Engineer. In this role, you are involved in several projects from early development through to project completion, focusing on identifying and securing flight safety aspects.

Your main tasks will be:

• Analyze system designs to assess risks and predict reliability using databases and design similarities. Typical deliverables include Equipment Reliability Predictions and Reliability Prediction Analyses.
• Assure fail safe systems by vetting architecture and requirements for system safety. This includes producing documents and analyses like the Failure Mode Effects Analysis, Preliminary System Safety Assessment, and System Safety Assessment.

You will have the chance to work in close collaboration with engaging, encouraging, and competent colleagues. Currently, the department consists of six members, four of whom are active in the field of system safety and reliability.

Your profile

We're looking for someone who thrives in a multi-project environment, enjoys learning from diverse sources, and works well with others. You're proactive, collaborative, and comfortable reaching beyond your own team when needed. To succeed in this role, you have a high level of self-management and takes initiative.

To succeed in the role, you have:

• Engineering degree at a Bachelor's or a Master's level.
• Experience in Systems Engineering work, such as requirements or architecture work, for e.g. software, electronics or mechanics.
• Proficiency in English.

It's a bonus if you also have:

• Experience from the aircraft and / or aviation industry.
• Experience of performing system safety analyses, and to document and communicate them in a clear and structured way. Important topics:
• Fail safe design
• Safety requirements
• Reliability prediction
• Reliability physics
• Experience from engineering work under standards such as ARP-4754, ARP-4761, DO-178, DO-254 or ISO-26262.
• Proficiency in Swedish

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
