What you will do

Are you a solution-oriented team player with a holistic mindset? Our Electromobility Component Development Team is looking for a HW Design Engineer to contribute across all stages-from requirements and development to verification, release, and maintenance. You’ll leverage your technical expertise in electromobility products, challenge the status quo, and work with advanced technologies alongside a diverse team.

Our Electromobility organization manages the entire electric powertrain lifecycle-from advanced engineering and product development to maintenance-driving the shift from conventional to electric vehicles using cutting-edge research and proven technology within the Volvo Group. Requirements

• MSc in Mechatronics, Physics, or Mechanical Engineering
• 4+ years in product development
• CAD/PLM experience; design experience with casting, sheet metal, and plastics
• Knowledge of production methods
• Quality process knowledge (FMEA, Six Sigma, 8D, etc.)
• Basic CAE/CFD and thermal analysis skills
• Understanding of vibration analysis
• GD&T proficiency
• PCB design experience
• Familiarity with Volvo tools (KOLA, PIL, etc.)
• Verification and validation experience
• Supplier management experience (merit)
• Technical knowledge of electromobility products and systems
• Experience with EV development, power supply, or charging systems (merit)
• Fluent English (spoken and written)
