In this position, you will be responsible for developing innovative manufacturing methods and expanding the capabilities of our production/prototyping processes. Your role will focus on programming PLCs and HMIs to drive manufacturing automation, while also supporting the design and implementation of custom jigs, fixtures, and automation systems. You will take an active role in pushing the boundaries of what is achievable in manufacturing. You will work in close collaboration with our development engineers, test engineers and production team.

Your main tasks will be:

• To program and troubleshoot prototype machines, PLCs and HMIs
• To design, develop, and implement production machine prototypes
• To ensure all machinery and tooling comply with safety regulations and industry standards
• To support production teams in troubleshooting and maintaining equipment
• To collaborate with design and production teams to optimize equipment and tooling
• To assist in training technicians and operators on proper equipment use and safety protocols
• To support procurement, prototype and production departments

To be successful as an E-motor Mechatronics Engineer you shall have the following capabilities and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechatronics, mechanical, automotive or aerospace engineering (or equivalent)
• At least 3 years of professional experience in PLC and HMI programming
• Background in designing and building production machines, jigs, and tooling
• Proficiency in designing with CATIA V5/V6 or NX
• Knowledge of machinery safety regulations and industry standards
• R&D involvement in prototyping, ideally with cutting-edge technologies
• Understanding of prototyping, production technologies, and validation procedures
• Work experience with PLM system
• Knowledge of GD&T
• Flexibility and ‘can-do’ attitude
• Fluent in English

It is meritorious if you have:

• Skilled in top-down design
• Background in working with FEA
• Knowledge of electric motor or HV equipment design
• Familiarity with designing castings and injection-molded parts
• Proficiency in using 3DEXPERIENCE
