The opportunity

At Hitachi Energy, we’re advancing a sustainable energy future—and quality is at the core of everything we do. We are looking for a driven Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in Grid Automation.

You’ll be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking team working on cutting-edge technologies that shape the future of energy. How you’ll make an impact

• Define test objectives, write and execute test cases and test scenarios and perform planning activities
• Identifies environments, equipment, test data, tools and any other provisions required for effective testing and collaborates with function leaders to ensure readiness for starting and completing testing in line with program schedules, including minor releases such as Maintenance Releases.
• Reports on test progress to Quality Manager and other key stakeholders; escalates when progress to achieving a stable releasable product is behind schedule.
• Supports CI/CD for all products, in particular enhancing plans to automate key tests.
• Effectively document identified defects
• Cooperate with developers to resolve any product issues
• Continuous expansion of skills in the field of testing and knowledge of the project's business domain
• Actively contribute to a cross-functional team by engaging in all team activities and working collaboratively toward a shared objective.

Your background

• 5 years of professional experience in quality assurance
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience with QA best practices and methodologies
• Experience in low level (API, integration) testing in microservices architecture
• Good understanding of the microservices architecture and testing related topics (message queues, Kubernetes, Docker etc.)
• Effective team player with excellent communication skills who is eager to learn new things
• Fluency in English, written and spoken.
• Knowledge of Python, Robot Framework, Azure DevOps and Postgres is a plus
• Experience in Jira / Helm is considered a benefit.
