As a Data Platform Engineer, the consultant will take ownership of the company’s core cloud data platform and play a crucial role in developing secure, scalable, and efficient data solutions. The person will be responsible for ensuring the platform’s performance, availability, and data integrity while driving best practices in governance, automation, and integration.

This is a consulting assignment where the consultant will be employed by Cleverex Bemanning but spend their working days at the client’s location in Södertälje.

Arbetsuppgifter

As a Data Platform Engineer, daily activities will include:

• Acting as the technical owner and subject matter expert for the company’s data platform infrastructure
• Designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and integrations using AWS and Snowflake
• Implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions with Terraform or CloudFormation
• Managing data governance, access control, and security protocols across the full data lifecycle
• Developing and optimizing real-time data ingestion mechanisms and ETL/ELT pipelines
• Monitoring and improving platform performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
• Creating and maintaining documentation, standards, and best practices for platform usage

Din profil

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent field
• 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering, with hands-on experience building and maintaining cloud data platforms
• Expert-level proficiency with Snowflake (including data modelling, zero-copy cloning, data sharing, and Streamlit)
• Proven experience with AWS (or similar cloud provider such as AliYun) and its data services
• Strong skills in Python and SQL
• Professional experience with Terraform (preferred) or CloudFormation
• Proven understanding of security best practices (IAM roles, encryption, VPCs, private endpoints)
• Fluent in English (Swedish is an advantage)

Furthermore, it is beneficial if you:

• Have experience with streaming data architectures
• Have experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Possess strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a structured approach to documentation and delivery
