Gen B Boliden Graduate Program Process Engineer

A program designed for your future

For one year, divided into three periods, you will explore how Boliden operates end to end, and how your own unique background and experience connect to the bigger picture. As a graduate, you are employed in a permanent position from day one and supported by an individual development program. Throughout the year several engaged and experienced colleagues, will guide you in your progress. You will become part of an international network of graduates and colleagues, expanding both your knowledge and connections. Six joint training weeks with top-class lecturers will challenge your thinking and give you the opportunity to further deepen your skills. After graduation you will continue your journey with a mentor for six months. In addition, you will receive practical training in project methodology and Boliden’s production methods, enabling you to apply what you learn directly in our operations.

This position is based at Boliden Rönnskär, one of the world’s most efficient copper smelters and world leader in electronic recycling. The role involves working with operations to improve process efficiency and quality, with an emphasis on water treatment, supporting strategic initiatives, and managing process flows.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and improve facility utilization and quality in close collaboration with operators and supervisors
• Provide operational support to operators and manage deviations
• Offer strategic support to the department and contribute to projects
• Maintain flow responsibility, including communication with internal customers and suppliers
• Focus on water treatment processes, including monitoring, improvement initiatives, and collaboration across teams

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Process Metallurgy, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Sustainable Metallurgy, Extractive Metallurgy, or equivalent

What you bring

You hold a relevant university degree (minimum Bachelor’s), maximum of 2 years of work experience in your field of study. You can communicate clearly in English, hold a valid driver’s license and are available to start in September 2026.

The assessment center will take place on-site in Sweden, on February 4–5, 2026.

Boliden will cover travel and accommodation expenses related to your participation in the assessment center.

As travel will be required before and after the event, please ensure your availability between February 3–6, 2026, should you progress to the final stage of the selection process.
