OHB Sweden is a leading Swedish supplier of space systems. We develop, build, test and commission satellites and subsystems for a wide range of missions - including communications, Earth observation, and space research and exploration - serving both institutional and commercial customers within and outside Europe.

We'll start the recruitment process in January, but please feel free to apply before then.

Your task will include, but not limited to

• Satellite Power engineering and architecture definition (EPS),

• Subsystem level activities such as requirements specifications, unit selection and configuration, power budgets maintenance, etc.

• Technical Officer role and support to Procurement for EPS units

• Support to system level design activities (satellites modes and attitude selection, CAD review, input to thermal, etc.).

• Participation in system level and subsystem level reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, MRR),

• Tests specifications elaboration and EGSE requirements specification.

Required Qualifications

• Master Level degree in Electrical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering,

• >3-year experience in satellite EPS subsystem or relevant satellite power unit design (PCDU or equivalent)

• Relevant experience in micro-satellite design or ESA missions,

• Experience in EPS subsystem sizing, power budgets, and satellite energy analysis,

• Experience in MATLAB and Simulink,

• Experience in requirements management software (i.e. DOORS),

• Ability to navigate ECSS standards,

• Familiarity in EMC and grounding concepts,

• Familiarity in satellite mechanical and thermal design,

• Familiarity with time domain and power measurement equipment,

Advantageous

• Familiarity in power electronics,

• Familiarity in orbital mechanics,

• Familiarity with scripting languages (Python) mostly for data treatment and plotting,

• Familiarity with satellite AIT,

• Familiarity with EGSE definition,

• Fluent in English.

About You: Interdisciplinary and international team working and ability to work autonomously are key to a for this role. Therefore, we’re looking for a proactive team player who learns quickly, provides technical guidance to colleagues, and can also work independently. Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and a pragmatic approach are essential - focusing on achieving the right balance of quality and timely delivery.

Travels will be required (3-4 trips per year, mostly in Continental Europe).
