Are you ready to join the Engineering Graduate Program?

The Engineering Graduate Program at Volvo Group Trucks Technology is a global 12-month program where you are offered the perfect mix of on-the-job learning and diverse training modules. You will get the chance to use and develop your technical and creative engineering skills, while gaining valuable experience working with real products on real business challenges. During the year you will engage in activities that will help you grow professionally and personally, developing strong communication and collaboration skills.

How you will make an impact 

You will be a key member of the Vehicle Strategy Team, responsible for managing the complete truck strategies over time and preparing upcoming vehicle projects. Our team leads pre-studies in collaboration with product planning, our truck brands, and engineering departments within Group Trucks Technology and Group Trucks Operations. We are a team of highly skilled and senior experts setting the technical direction for our future Volvo FH, FM, and FMX models, as well as Renault T, C, and K trucks at a vehicle level. Throughout this journey, you will gain extensive truck and business knowledge from both our team and our stakeholders.

As a Vehicle Product Architect, you will lead the development of specific areas or functionalities within the truck, rather than focusing solely on individual components or software. This involves defining high-level technical concepts through roadmaps and pre-studies, in close collaboration with component engineers, function developers, product planning, manufacturing, and various other stakeholders. Our strategic efforts are continuously aligned to meet customer expectations and enhance Volvo Group’s profitability. Your responsibilities will also encompass planning and budget preparation during the pre-study phase.

We believe that you are

• Passionate about and experienced in the automotive or transport sector. 
• Proficient in analyzing complex data and information.
• Able to handle uncertainties and ambiguity with confidence. 
• Capable of managing complexity and high demands while maintaining an innovative mindset. 
• Strong in presenting and communicating complex technical information clearly and efficiently.  

You meet the following requirements: 

• M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or Physics.
• Interested in multiple engineering disciplines, with a primary focus on mechanics and mechatronics. 

Demonstrates leadership and collaboration skills. 

To qualify for the Engineering Graduate Program, you’ve completed a master’s degree prior to the start of the program but not more than 18 months ago. You should not have more than two years' full-time working experience in the field prior to starting. You also need to be fluent in English, both written and verbal.
