During 15 intense and exciting months, our Operations Graduate Program will give you a holistic view of our operational and logistic activities, including both the local and global perspective. You will be working with the technologies of tomorrow, building the products of the future – electric, connected and automated. In parallel, you will grow as a person, through individual and team development sessions. 

You will have a permanent position from day one, with a manager and mentor to support you. You will experience several local and international on the job-rotations and work on business-critical projects developing your competencies for tomorrow. You will take a deep dive into some specific areas of our business such as manufacturing, health and safety, quality, and continuous improvements, while also learning about the end-to-end supply chain, aftermarket parts and our remanufacturing operations. In addition, you will gather with other program participants to take part in trainings and events designed to help you grow into your future career at the Volvo Group.

This is us, your new team

We are a supportive and collaborative team of 41 professionals within the Manage Packaging function for Europe. In addition to our regional responsibilities, we hold global accountability for packaging budget and procurement, data & business analytics, and pricing. Our organization consists of three operational teams and two strategic staff roles: Strategic Packaging Planner and Senior Data Analyst.

Over the past years, we have nurtured improvements in both packaging flows and analytics capabilities, contributing to enhanced efficiency and insight-guided decision-making across the business.

The Packaging Operations Team is responsible for managing incoming packaging orders and overseeing regional planning across Europe. We are a team of 13 dedicated individuals working closely with stakeholders across functions and geographies.

Main activities and responsibilities:

We are now looking for a new team member to support and drive improvements in our packaging processes. This role will work closely with the Process Manager and Global Planner, contributing to the ongoing Value Stream Mapping (VSM) initiative and other strategic improvement efforts.

You will explore current packaging processes and identify areas for improvement, both operationally and through data insights. You will also collaborate across the Manage Packaging function and with global regions (North America, South America, and International). In addition, you will translate VSM outcomes into actionable initiatives and support their implementation. Furthermore, you leverage data to monitor performance and support decision-making.

Who You Are?

We are seeking a candidate who brings an innovative mindset and a passion for identifying opportunities through data and process understanding. You have strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across global teams. A proactive approach to personal and professional development is important to you and you have experience or interest in data analysis and performance metrics. We also see leadership experience, formal or informal, as a strong asset.

Required knowledge/experience:

• Batchelor degree or Master degree. Preferably in supply chain or logistics areas.
• Advantage with skills in Analytics tools such as Power BI, QLIK Sense, Excel etc.
• Work experience in Supply chain related areas is  a merit.
• Maximum two years of previous full-time working experience, prior to or after graduation. Work during studies are not included.
• In this truly global program, communication will be in English, hence you need to be fluent in both speaking and writing in English.
• Valid work or study permit for Sweden if not a citizen.
