About the job

In this role, you develop and maintain solutions that support our automated production preparation processes.

Your work ensures that all manufacturing data, such as routing, process steps, and preparation data is accurate, structured, and ready for execution in our internal systems. You also contribute to new product introductions and support global standardization efforts.

What you’ll do

• Create and maintain production information, using our automation platform and development tools.
• Take ownership of creating and maintaining preparation data for new and existing product families.
• Drive improvements and providing technical and process support to production engineers and business partners.
• Participate in new product projects and ensure preparation data meets production requirements.
• Support global production units in harmonizing and improving preparation processes.
• Act as a key competence in bridging information from engineering, production, and R&D to automation solutions in production.

This position is based in Gimo. You report to the Manager for Digital Preparation and Analytics.

Your profile

You bring an engineering background within a field such as software, mechanical, industrial, or similar, combined with experience from a manufacturing environment.

You thrive in a structured setting and enjoy creating order and clarity in complex technical contexts. A process-oriented mindset helps you break down challenges and build solutions step by step. You collaborate easily across functions, listen actively, and translate needs into well-designed digital flows. Curiosity, analytical thinking, and a proactive approach help you adapt quickly and continuously improve the way we work.

It’s beneficial if you have:

• Programming experience
• Knowledge of PLM and product data systems and processes.
• Experience with Manufacturing Execution System platforms and production preparation processes.
• A strong understanding of manufacturing flows and digital production documentation.
• The ability to navigate both technical details and broader process perspectives.
• Strong communication skills in Swedish and English.

Our Digital Preparation and Analytics team develop digital tools and processes that keep information flowing seamlessly through our automated manufacturing chain. We combine engineering expertise with deep process insights and work closely with production engineers, R&D and system specialists. It’s a collaborative, hands‑on team that enjoys solving real-world challenges and shaping the next generation of production preparation to improve our production.
