We are now looking for an RF Electronics Engineer to join our Fixed Camera & Radar Product Development Unit at Axis HQ in Lund, Sweden.

Who is your future team

You will be part of our product radar team, at Fixed Cameras & Radar Electronics. In all we are a group of fifteen engineers, where today three works on our radar side. You will also seamlessly interact with SW radar engineers, and Axis radar technology team. Together these teams act as a radar-competence hub and deliver world class radar solutions to a growing number of new products at Axis.

The role

Radar, in association with AI & deep learning, provides critical and unique metadata to new data driven capabilities in our surveillance systems. In our product development team, you will take responsibility for design, development, verification and certification of the radar electronics solutions in our products. The starting point, in technology, is our common radar platforms.

What you will do

You will incorporate radar platforms in our product designs and verify performance, taking part in our cross-functional development projects. This can include adjustments and further development to the platforms and antenna designs, it will call for design of surrounding elements in the product, and it will include verifications and certifications.

You will work closely with Axis radar technology team and follow the technology development. You will interact much with them and with radar SW, throughout the product development. Externally, you will work with suppliers, test houses and our EMS partners (production) together with our operations organization. Now and then you will also meet our customers.

To qualify for the position, you have:

• A MSc or BSc degree in electronics and RF.
• Several years of working experience after graduation (preferably 5-10).
• Experience in hands-on verifications using such as spectrum analyzers and VNAs.
• Experience in product development from conceptual design through to certifications and volume production.

It is meriting to:

• Having worked with radar technologies and radar products.
• Having worked in multi-discipline projects (electronics-radio-mechanics-software…).
• Having worked with test houses, certifications and production aspects.
• Having some knowledge in antenna design, and EM simulation tools.
• Having some experience in Linux and Python.
