Are you a software engineer who wants to go deeper into techniques and tools for revealing flaws in software design and implementation? Are you an experienced tester who is eager to support the development of secure products and solutions? Or, are you simply already in the business, performing security assessments and ready to start spreading your knowledge from day one? Maybe it's time for a new challenge in one of the region's largest Quality Assurance organizations?

We are looking for a new colleague to our Security & Compliance Test team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of our products.

Your future team

Security & Compliance Test is a team within the Quality Assurance (QA) organization at Axis R&D in Lund. Our mission is to support the test organization with expertise in software security. We interact with all parts of the development organization and work closely with other entities with similar areas of expertise. Two of the team's main responsibilities are maintaining a framework for automatic security tests and conducting penetration testing.

What you will do

Together with colleagues who, just like you, are eager to prevent exploitation and malicious use of our solutions, you will be implementing the test aspects in Axis Security Development Model. Your overall task will be to develop and assess methods and tools for testing software security, and to support the R&D organization when implementing these. You will also perform assessments of the security work and of our products and solutions.

The role covers a combination of the following tasks:

• Develop best practices for testing the security in Axis devices and solutions
• Support and coach teams to explore weaknesses and develop tests to validate countermeasures
• Drive relevant test automation, for fast quality feedback in the CI/CD pipeline
• Perform security assessments such as penetration tests to identify flaws in products and development processes
• Document and communicate findings to stakeholders within the company

In short, you will be a significant contributor to the work with assessing and improving security in Axis devices and solutions.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone who is passionate about security, and testing. You are curious and open to new challenges, and at the same time eager to share your insights and help others while suggesting a way forward. You interact with colleagues to achieve your goals and you have a good ability to work incrementally. You are a responsible person used to taking initiatives and structure your own work.

We'd love to hear that you have:

• A Master's or Bachelor's degree in computer security, or similar, or relevant work experience
• Proven experience in working with security in software solutions
• Knowledge of security testing tools, including their strengths and weaknesses
• Ability to develop own tools or scripts, to simplify test execution and analysis
• Proficiency in English

The following qualifications are a big plus:

• Interest in security research and development
• Experience in development and testing of embedded systems and/or cloud services
• Experience in test automation
