The Global Sales Engineering team is looking for a Data Acquisition Engineer to work on initiatives for video analytics training data collection. We are looking for a result-orientated person who is passionate about AI, machine vision and learning, someone who thrives in collaborative multicultural environments and loves being hands-on.

Who is your future team?

You will be a member of the Global Sales Engineering organization, a cross-functional, multicultural team, working between our Sale regions, CTO and Products organization, System Integrators and partners as well as our End Users. The team is based in Lund, Sweden but operates globally.

What will you do as a Data Acquisition Engineer

In collaboration with our Technical Sales teams in the regions globally, along with System Integrators and End Users, you will build and grow a network of sites to collect video analytic training data to fulfil the needs of our R&D organization. You will define and establish processes and structures for efficient data acquisition.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Create and maintain a network of Technical Sales, partners and customers to establish and gain access to installation sites, including the Axis Experience Centres worldwide
• Set up new data collection sites
• Understand requirements and deliver relevant video training data according to the needs of our R&D organization
• Work close to the Legal teams, both in Lund and the regions to understand legal requirements and regulations for data acquisition
• Contribute to more efficient data collection processes

The position involves international travels to the Americas, EMEA and APAC countries.

Who are we looking for?

We believe that you are passionate about technology and are senior enough to drive initiatives and take decisions independently. You are a team player who values cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management, but you also appreciate working independently. You enjoy hands-on work with high quality results and take an honor in finalizing projects successfully according to a time plan. You have the energy and the drive to create and develop new initiatives, and you are not afraid of challenges. You have strong technical background and experience from the physical security or IT industry. As we are working in the international environment, your English knowledge, both written and spoken, is excellent. Your communication and negotiations skills are excellent.

We'd love to hear that you are/have:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in IT, Computer/Data science or Security
• 3-5 years customer-facing experience in the physical security, IT or automation industry
• Fields technical hands-on experience from the industry as well as passion for building systems and solutions
• Proven experience in successful negotiations and collaboration
• Fluent in English. Other languages is an advantage
• Being familiar with Axis offering and ecosystem is a strong advantage
• Can and willing to travel internationally, including the US
