Who is your future team?

EVP METS Analytics is a new department within AXIS working with Analytics for Explosion protected cameras, Thermal Cameras, Specialty Cameras and multichannel products. Working together in a team, you will be a part of how our new products come to life. You will be collaborating with co-workers from different disciplines, such as software, image quality, mechanical design, electronics, production test and more. We have a very close co-operation, and a friendly team-spirit at AXIS, ensuring an agile development of market-leading products. We strongly believe in knowledge sharing and insights. What will you do?

As an Analytics Engineering manager at AXIS you will play an essential part in the development of our new products as we invest heavily in future solutions based on technologies like Deep Learning/Machine Learning. The products in our department has different use cases than the rest of AXIS portfolio and therefore we need to adapt our Analytics features to our products and to build strong use cases for our customers in cooperation with our other teams working with analytics.

Your main tasks will be to:

• Lead, inspire, and develop your team of skilled engineers related to both the needs of the company as well as in balance with the needs of every individual.
• Contribute to the strategic direction of our analytics area.
• Collaborate and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver outstanding results.
• Run the day-to-day operations making sure that we have the right competence.
• Perform standard management tasks like development talks, salary setting, budgeting, recruitment, etc.

Who are you?

You have a strong technical interest and experience in driving strategic and technical initiatives. To inspire and challenge both your manager and coworkers is something you feel comfortable with. You love leading from a people perspective, securing a safe environment of coaching and giving feedback and collaboration, identifying development needs, taking actions and follow-up. You see the power of diversity; understand your employees and you do whatever it takes to make their situation as good as possible while still getting the most out of your organization. You combine the skill of listening with the skill of deciding and can find a good balance in between the two. You are an open-minded, empathetic, and cooperative person - a leader who can make people feel enthusiastic about their work. Since we are working closely with other departments and external stakeholders, you find it easy and have experience in interacting and networking with customers, external partners and organizations. You have fluent communication skills in Swedish and English.

In addition to the above you have/are:

• Leadership experience, such as Team Lead, Project Manager or Line Manager.
• A Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven experience leading software development teams in an Agile setup.
• Interest in developing and challenge yourself as leader and manager.
• Familiarity with managing Agile and/or DevOps teams.
• Fluent in English.

• Tool Development: Experience creating tools to enhance productivity.

• Customer development projects: Previous involvement in Customer/End User development projects.
