Your role

The structural testing control and measurement engineer has fun at work and finds solutions! You will have a varied job that primarily involves working with Control and Data Acquisition systems. In structural testing, you collaborate internally with test engineers in the group and externally with engineers from the stress department. You share your time between the test hall and the office. To give you the best possible conditions to become a specialist in this area, you will be trained both internally and on-site with the supplier in the USA. You will also vary your work with designing and practical implementation of Structural tests. For those who want, there are also good opportunities to develop and take on additional tasks and responsibilities.

Your Job Responsibilities Will Include:

• Calibrating and maintaining DAQ systems and test equipment.
• Supporting and leading test engineers in the startup and continuous operation of strength tests.
• Documenting and reporting completed work.
• Collaborating with other technicians and engineers to ensure smooth and efficient workflows.

Our section, Structural Testing, is part of the Flight Testing department. We perform strength testing on structural components of varying complexity, from individual components to entire aircraft structures. A comprehensive Authorisation Training for rig test engineers will be offered. The courses provide you with knowledge about aeronautical engineering and the product you work with, as well as open up a network within the organisation. The training is conducted part-time over 1.5 years.

Your profile

You have a broad knowledge in control engineering and data Acquisition and are comfortable learning new systems. In your work, you need a good ability to collaborate, work in a group, and plan your own work. We appreciate a broad technical interest and inventiveness. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering, with a focus on mechatronics, or equivalent, is a suitable background. Experience in hydraulics, Stress calculations, or CAD is also desirable.

• You have experience working with control and DAQ systems, preferably systems from MTS, e.g., aeropro.
• You are meticulous and have a good ability to follow instructions.
• You are used to working in a team and have good communication skills.
• You are flexible and can handle varied tasks.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
