Join our team of geospatial experts and take a leading role in delivering world-class cartographic products and services. We’re looking for a Senior GIS Analyst with deep expertise in spatial data and cartographic map production, and a proven ability to drive innovation and mentor others. Fluency in English and Swedish is required.

About the Role

As a Senior GIS Analyst at T-Kartor, you will be a key part of multiple project teams responsible for creating, maintaining, and delivering high-quality cartographic products and services. You will collaborate with and lead colleagues across departments to ensure successful delivery and customer satisfaction. This position is based at our offices in Kristianstad and/or Lund, primarily on-site, with the possibility of working remotely part of the time. You will report to our Head of Cartographic Services.

Key Responsibilities

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives

· Lead the design and implementation of GIS solutions to address spatial data needs

· Collect, manage, and analyse geospatial data using GIS software and tools

· Develop and maintain GIS databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity

· Create and edit maps, graphics, and datasets to communicate spatial data

· Stay current with GIS industry trends and advancements to recommend and implement best practices

· Provide GIS support, training and mentorship to junior team members

We seek applicants possessing the following or similar qualifications:

· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, or related field

· Several years of proven experience working with GIS software (e.g. QGIS Desktop/Server, ESRI ArcGIS) and spatial databases (PostgreSQL)

· Strong understanding of spatial analysis techniques and data visualization

· Familiarity with both vector and raster data management

· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

· Effective communication skills with the ability to present complex spatial information to non-technical stakeholders

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

· Attention to detail and a good cartographic eye

· Advanced programming skills (e.g., Python, JavaScript, SQL) for automation and customization of GIS workflows

· Previous experience in the mapping industry, especially cartography and content management

· Working knowledge of additional languages (e.g., French, Norwegian, German, Spanish) is merited
