Are you passionate about hands‑on vehicle technology and eager to grow in a fast‑developing engineering environment? ALTEN is now looking for a

SOFTWARE DOWNLOAD / VEHICLE SUPPORT ENGINEER for an exciting in-house project within one of Sweden’s leading automotive companies. This role offers a combination of practical workshop tasks and advanced troubleshooting within electrical and electronic systems.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Software Download / Vehicle Support Engineer, you will support the in‑house engineering team with test vehicles and rigs throughout the physical build process. You will work closely with engineers and technicians, contributing to successful development work in early phases.

Your main responsibilities include:

Performing fault tracing and SWDL (Software Download) on test vehicles and rigs

Programming, downloading, and configuring ECUs

Supporting early-stage EE engineering activities

Troubleshooting complex electrical/electronic issues in lab, rig, and truck environments

Hands-on work in workshop, lab, and various company facilities

Occasional travel to dealers and end users to assist with support and testing

WHO WE BELIEVE YOU ARE

You have:

Experience working with vehicle electrical and electronic systems

Good understanding of vehicle electrical architecture

Preferably, broad knowledge of complete trucks and an end-user perspective

A proactive mindset and the ability to work independently

A strong customer‑focused approach and service‑oriented attitude

Good analytical and problem‑solving skills

A structured way of working and flexibility to handle diverse tasks

A collaborative spirit and willingness to take responsibility

MERITORIOUS SKILLS

Experience from product development

Knowledge of tools such as

CANALYZER, KOLA, PROTUS, PROTOM, CONFIGURATOR, SE‑TOOL, AND CLEARQUEST

C‑DRIVER’S LICENSE (C‑KÖRKORT)
