Our goal is to keep society running. Making sure that food gets to the grocery store, hospitals have electricity, and that people can commute to work. We do that by making sure that Volvo Group trucks, engines, buses, and construction equipment keep running uninterrupted all over the world. Together with other talented people from a diversity of backgrounds and with a wide variety of skills we make sure that spare parts are available when they are needed in a sustainable distribution network with thousands of dealerships. We are now looking for one or several Digital Developers to join our Supply Chain Optimisation team! 

What you will do?

The Digital Developer position is part of the SML Supply Chain Optimization (SCO) organization. SCO is the function at Service Market Logistics where we enable customer success through an optimized supply chain from suppliers to customers by balancing service levels, tied-up capital, transport cost and performance. One of the most fun parts of being a part of the SCO team is that we work together with all Truck brands and Business areas. What we do has a direct impact on the satisfaction of our customers. You will be primarily responsible for the long-term development of the state-of-the-art product, which will maximize value by combining software development skills with supply chain domain knowledge. You will also contribute to the ongoing digitalization with automation solutions on both a smaller and larger scale. Other responsibilities will include ensuring high-quality forecasting of future spare parts demand for Volvo Trucks, Mack Trucks, VCE and Penta.  

To succeed in this role, we believe you have:

• A university Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Mathematics/Statistics, Computer Science or a related field; or equivalent experience.  
• Experience working with logistics in a complex global supply chain  
• Strong problem solving, research and analytical skills  
• Ability to visualize and tell a story with data that compels stakeholders to understand and take action (PowerBI, etc…).  
• Experience in 1 or more scripting languages (Python, R, Java, Apache Spark, etc...)  
• Knowledge of relational database query languages (SQL)  
• Knowledge of Agile methodology, Microsoft Azure, DevOPs, or software development
