Step into a dynamic role where you drive innovation and quality in a fully equipped metallurgical laboratory in Finspång. Join a diverse team of 30 professionals as you lead failure analysis of turbine components, ensure supplier excellence, and champion quality assurance in manufacturing. You’ll support cutting-edge R&D projects and have the flexibility to shape your responsibilities based on your unique skills and interests. How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead failure analysis of turbine components, using advanced analytical and testing tools
  • Qualify and evaluate suppliers to ensure the highest standards for materials and processes
  • Oversee quality assurance for in-house and outsourced manufacturing, including forging, casting, welding, brazing, and machining
  • Support R&D projects, collaborating with engineers and experts to drive innovation
  • Tailor your responsibilities to your strengths and interests, contributing to both daily operations and long-term projects

What You Bring

  • You hold an MSc in Materials Technology, Metallurgy, or a related field
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in materials engineering or a similar area
  • You bring deep expertise in metallic materials, failure analysis, and microscopy
  • You are proficient in manufacturing methods such as forging, casting, welding, brazing, and machining
  • You are fluent in English; Swedish language skills are a plus
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and structured
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently

You’ll join a team of 30 dedicated professionals, including materials engineers, technicians, experts, and chemical engineers, all working together in a state-of-the-art metallurgical laboratory.
