AI Solution Engineer – TRATON Financial Services

Role Summary

TFS Analytics serves as the central function for data, analytics and AI across the Group. We provide data as a utility, enable insight through scalable platforms and drive business value through AI, automation, and advanced analytics.

We are now looking for an AI Solution Engineer to join our growing AI capability and be part of our AI Center of Excellence.

In this role, you will sit at the intersection of business and technology - translating business needs into practical AI solutions and helping design, build and scale them. You will work across the full lifecycle of AI initiatives, from identifying opportunities to deploying solutions in production.

While our head office is located in Södertälje, this role will primarily be based at our new office in Östermalm, opening in April. The position requires flexibility to work from Södertälje on a regular basis to ensure close collaboration with key stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders across domains such as finance, credit, treasury, sales and operations to identify and shape AI use cases.
• Translate business problems into scalable AI solution designs and technical architectures.
• Design, prototype, and develop AI-powered solutions, including applications leveraging Generative AI and LLMs.
• Support integration of AI solutions into existing systems, applications and workflows via APIs and modern architectures.
• Work closely with data scientists, data engineers, and development teams to bring AI solutions from concept to production.
• Contribute to deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement of AI solutions using MLOps/LLMOps practices.
• Actively contribute to the AI Center of Excellence, sharing knowledge and driving best practices across the organization.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Scania IT and external partners within the AI ecosystem.
• Support AI governance efforts, ensuring solutions are aligned with standards for quality, responsibility and scalability.
• Stay up to date with the rapidly evolving AI landscape and bring new ideas into the organization.

Who You Are

• You hold a Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science or a related field.
• You have approximately 1–3 years of experience working with AI, machine learning, or software engineering.

Technical Skills

• Solid understanding of machine learning and AI fundamentals.
• Experience working with Generative AI and LLMs.
• Programming skills in Python or similar languages.
• Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and tools.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Understanding of APIs and system integration.
• Basic knowledge of data engineering concepts.
• Familiarity with MLOps principles and model lifecycle management.

Business & Solution Mindset

• Strong ability to frame problems and identify relevant AI use cases.
• Interest in translating business needs into technical solutions.
• Comfortable working in cross-functional environments with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Curious, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-moving AI landscape.
