Are you a passionate Embedded Software Engineer ready to bring your innovative ideas to life within a culture that champions work-life balance and continuous learning? Your future team Imagine a team driven by a shared passion for product development and a genuine enjoyment of technical challenges. We thrive on collaborative problem-solving, working together to find innovative solutions. Our team brings diverse and extensive expertise to the table, focusing on Linux-based software development for Axis Audio products.

You'll work with cutting-edge technologies like audio processing, audio streaming, and audio quality. While our core codebase is in C, we also leverage Rust and Python, and actively engage with open-source components and standards such as GStreamer and Pipewire.

What will you do here You will join our development team, focusing on network audio products. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Designing and developing software features for our innovative products.
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues, from our internal applications to open-source components.
• Collaborating effectively with other teams across Axis.

As an Embedded Software Engineer at Axis, you'll play a vital role in shaping our next generation of products.

Who you are You are a dedicated team player who proactively takes initiative and isn't afraid to challenge the status quo to drive continuous improvement - both in technology and our working methods. You confidently express your ideas while also listening attentively and respecting your colleagues' opinions. You are accountable and take great pride in your work and accomplishments.

We're looking for someone who brings

• Solid experience as a Software Developer with expertise in C and Embedded Linux.
• Or you are a recent graduate passionate about programming, eager to learn and grow in this field.

Bonus points if you have experience or interest in any of the following

• Gstreamer, ALSA or Pipewire
• Working in a Linux environment
• REST APIs and Open APIs
• Git and Yocto/BitBake
• Network programming and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, RTP, HTTP, WebSocket)
• Agile development methodologies
