This Position reports to: Senior Engineering Manager.

Your Role and Responsibilities

ABB Large Motors and Generators in Västerås is looking for a Senior Control System Designer to take on exciting new challenges. As a Control System Designer, you will;

• Design control panels, including hardware and software, for excitation systems used in synchronous motors, generators and synchronous condensers.
• Configure protection systems and evaluate control panels in collaboration with colleagues in the testing lab.
• Provide technical support to the sales team and assist customers by resolving technical issues.
• Collaborate with suppliers and participate in customer meetings to ensure optimal technical solutions

Qualifications for the Role

• A degree in electrical engineering or a related field, with at least 2 years of experience in power systems, control panel design, or similar areas, or experience working with PLC-based systems.
• An open-minded individual who strives to understand customer requirements and find the best possible solutions based on our unique concepts.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify opportunities, prioritize effectively, and make sound decisions.
• A true team player who enjoys working collaboratively and supporting colleagues when needed.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written, are essential.
