About the Job

On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced and technically skilled Electrical Power Engineer to play a key role in designing and implementing electrical systems for renewable energy projects.

About the Role

As an Electrical Power Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and dimensioning electrical components, such as cabling, transformers, and switchgear, for renewable energy systems. You will work closely with project planners, managers, and procurement teams, while also collaborating with external grid operators and suppliers. This is a senior role, and we are looking for someone with extensive experience in electrical engineering, particularly in the renewable energy sector.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Design and dimension cabling, transformers, and switchgear for renewable energy systems.
• Ensure compliance with Requirements for Generators (RfG) by collaborating with RfG consultants.
• Develop and implement selectivity plans to optimize system safety and performance.
• Simulate solar parks and energy storage systems, focusing on Power Quality (PQ) diagrams.
• Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) with suppliers to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications.
• Prequalify new suppliers in collaboration with the procurement team.
• Investigate and evaluate connection possibilities for projects, ensuring seamless integration with grid systems.

Who You Are

We are looking for a highly skilled Electrical Power Engineer with a deep understanding of electrical design and a strong background in renewable energy systems. You thrive in a technical role where you can apply your expertise to innovative projects, and you’re committed to ensuring high-quality performance and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

We believe you have:

• A university degree in Electrical Engineering (Bachelor's or Master's level).
• At least 10 years of experience in power engineering, with expertise in switchgear, relay protection, and electrical installations.
• Experience designing and dimensioning switchgear and relay protection systems.
• Strong understanding of RfG requirements, energy storage, and FAT procedures.
• Experience in the renewable energy sector (solar, wind, hydropower) or with transmission networks.
• Certification in low and/or high voltage systems is a plus.
